@The Luxury of Time: Why Youth Must Not Waste It

Time is not just ticking—it is telling. Telling the story of what you treasure, where you’re headed, and how wisely you are walking through your prime. For the youth, time is not a burden to kill. It is a luxury to cultivate. A treasure more precious than gold, more fleeting than a breeze, and more powerful than any currency.


Youthfulness often comes with the illusion of forever. Many feel there's still time to start, to learn, to build, to become. Yet, history is filled with names that proved otherwise—young minds who maximized their time and changed the world. Time, when invested early, compounds into greatness.


Every tick of the clock is a gift to grow. A moment to learn a skill, to build discipline, to serve humanity, to prepare for destiny. Time is the seedbed of legacy. It listens carefully to how it is treated and gives back only what was sown into it.


Wasting time in youth is like burning a harvest before it even matures. Social media scrolls, endless idle chatter, sleeping through mornings, and procrastinating on purpose all drain this precious asset. What seems small today may echo with regret tomorrow.


The luxury of time does not mean time is abundant—it means it is available. Available now, not forever. Each morning is a blank cheque. Each hour, a decision. Each season, an opportunity either seized or squandered.


Those who understand the value of time in youth are the ones who grow to command influence. They read when others slumber. They build when others delay. They develop when others distract. These are the architects of tomorrow, shaping history while others are busy killing time.


To the youth, this is your wake-up call: You are not too young to start. Not too young to lead. Not too young to build. Not too young to shine. The best use of time is not to fill it with noise—but to fill it with meaning.


Dream deeply, plan strategically, act consistently, and grow deliberately. Do not treat time like it owes you. Rather, honour it like it’s the most expensive resource you’ll ever possess—because it is.


When you use time well, time will reward you. With progress. With results. With impact.

When you waste time, time will repay you—with stagnation.


So rise early. Think deeply. Walk wisely. And let your youth not be spent chasing shadows. Let it be remembered as the era you laid your foundation, chased your vision, and earned your place in the future.
