@The Leaders We Need Are Not Always The Leaders We Celebrate We have become so accustomed to celebrating the people on the stage that we sometimes forget the people who built the stage. We celebrate the person holding the microphone, yet forget the one who spent years giving others a voice. We celebrate the person in the convoy, yet overlook the teacher who walks miles every morning to reach children who may never be able to repay the sacrifice. We celebrate the title, the office, the applause and the photograph, while some of the finest leaders among us are quietly serving in places where there are no cameras, no medals and no standing ovations. There are people who have spent their lives lifting others while remaining unseen. They have paid school fees for children who call someone else “Mummy” or “Daddy”.
