NOT THE BEGINNING. A NEW FRONTIER.

NOT THE BEGINNING. A NEW FRONTIER. 🇳🇬

With gratitude to God and a profound sense of responsibility, I am honoured to join the Teach For Nigeria Fellowship – 10th Cohort.

More than 38,000 applications were received for this fellowship, yet only 550 Fellows were finally selected  - bringing together young graduates and existing educators from across the East, West, North and South of Nigeria, united by one audacious mission: to ensure that every Nigerian child attains inclusive and excellent education. To be part of this exceptional national cohort is an honour; more importantly, it is a responsibility.

For me, however, this is not the beginning of a journey. It is another chapter in a lifelong commitment to serve, lead and impact. For many years, I have worked and walked with young people, taught them, mentored them, led them, challenged them, encouraged them, listened to them and believed in possibilities they sometimes could not yet see in themselves. From the classroom to the community, from education to youth development and leadership, my life has consistently been intertwined with the dreams and destinies of young Nigerians.

Now, Teach For Nigeria gives that lifelong commitment a new frontier. I come into this fellowship not merely to teach, but to contribute, to learn, to collaborate and to serve. I come with experience, yet with the humility to learn. I come with convictions, yet with the openness to grow. I come with a passion tested by years of service, and with an even greater determination to help create the conditions in which every child — regardless of background or circumstance — can discover, develop, deploy and fulfil their potential.

Education has always been more than my profession. It has been my platform for service, and for purpose. Young people have never merely been my students; they have been a significant part of the reason I serve. This fellowship therefore does not mark a departure from who I have been. It amplifies the work I have always believed in and gives it a broader national community and platform.

So, I proudly wear this new identity — not as a beginning, but as an affirmation; not as a destination, but as a greater responsibility.

The journey continues.

Teach. Lead. Inspire. Transform. 🇳🇬
