Nobody Is Coming To Rescue The Dream Inside You
@Nobody Is Coming To Rescue The Dream Inside You
There is a dream sleeping inside many young people, quietly suffocating beneath fear, procrastination and excuses. A young man keeps saying, “One day, I will start.” A young woman keeps whispering, “When things get better, I will try.” Days become months. Months become years. Then one painful morning, we look into the mirror and realise that the life we prayed for has been waiting for the courage we never gave it. The tragedy is not that the dream was impossible. The tragedy is that we allowed it to die while we were waiting for someone to come and save it.
We often imagine that someone will appear with the money, the connection, the opportunity, the recommendation or the perfect platform. We wait for the influential person to notice us. We wait for the economy to improve. We wait until we feel confident. We wait until everything becomes perfect. Life rarely works that way. Sometimes, the first person who must believe in the dream is the person carrying it. The first investment may be our little savings. The first platform may be our phone. The first opportunity may be the small responsibility nobody else considers important. Great journeys have often begun with trembling hands and imperfect beginnings.
Young person, nobody may come to rescue the dream inside you. That is not a sentence of despair; it is a call to responsibility. Start with what is available. Learn when others are scrolling. Build when others are laughing. Apply when rejection is possible. Try again when failure has embarrassed you. Let discipline carry you on the days motivation disappears. Let character sustain you when applause is absent. The world may not recognise the seed, yet that does not make it less capable of becoming a tree.
One day, the younger version of you may look back from the future and ask a painful question: “Why did you give up on me?” May the answer never be, “I was waiting for somebody to save us.” Pick up that dream again. Dust it off. Give it another breath. Take one small step today. Someone may never come to rescue what is inside you, yet perhaps you were never meant to be rescued. Perhaps you were meant to rise.
