Something is fundamentally wrong when an entire generation sees success only as an opportunity to escape the country and communities that raised them. Who will rebuild the schools, revive local economies, create jobs and challenge the conditions that keep these communities trapped in underdevelopment if everyone is desperate to leave?

Let us be clear: there is nothing wrong with leaving your community or country, but there is everything wrong with believing that escape is the only definition of success! We must stop raising young people who see their roots as a source of shame and their communities' problems as somebody else's responsibility.

Education must produce more than certificate holders searching for greener pastures. It must produce problem-solvers, innovators, entrepreneurs and responsible leaders who can turn knowledge into opportunities and transform lives. We need young people who can identify what is broken and dare to fix it.

Of course, nobody should be forced to remain where opportunities are limited. Go out, explore the world and pursue your dreams. But never become so successful that you forget the people and places still struggling to rise. You do not have to return physically to make a difference; you can invest, mentor, create opportunities and contribute to lasting change. Our communities do not need a generation that merely escapes; they need a generation that rises and creates pathways for others to rise.

Let us raise children who dream beyond their environment without believing that their environment is beyond redemption. The ultimate victory is not simply escaping a broken system; it is becoming part of the force that breaks the cycle and builds something better.
